It's bittersweet for us to be to be writing this news, but inevitable.

For many years the team has been working tireless on IcePets with increased burnout and little hope for IcePets future.

After a hard few months, we've come to an agreement as a team to take a 6 month break from IcePets. Over this break there will be no events, news, Gold Account purchases, or requests.

Novitaria will be set up to auto turn on for all of April. This will include the noviteggs which appear randomly on the pages and makoat piles. You will be able to find these for an unlimited amount of times, instead of the usual cap of 50 a day.

When the 6 months is over IcePets team will regather and decide the permanent fate of the site.

We will finish up any current open requests, and continue to post the news and items already in progress. We will make another official announcement once the remaining staff have begun their hiatus as well. Please be sure to ask any important questions prior to this.

After the 6 months, we will decide and inform you of the state of IcePets.

Please be kind with this decision as there has been a lot of tears over it. It was very difficult to make but required for the wellbeing of everyone. We welcome any suggestions, ideas, or comments in this news thread for the staff to consider for the future.

Goodness -- well, it certainly seems this year's Clash of Colours is still going strong, even as Amourok nears its end!Team's scores have been hidden, and both Full Hearts are now stocking more often in all NPC shops (excluding Port Rakor, the Snow Jar Igloo, and I.C.E Antiques). The Token Booth, Quest Store, and Raffle Store are also now stocking Empty Heart Fragments until Amourok ends, at February 23rd at 23:59:59 Icepets Time.



Hearts may be breaking, but they are also on the mend -- don't forget to design An Aurora for Amourok!

Today is a wonderful today, because it marks the start of Amourok! A time to win -- and a time to break -- hearts, it looks like our new friends have a thing or two to say...



"Ah!" Juniper says, beaming. "I'm grateful to see you have all come to your senses so quickly! Aurestal is clearly the best holiday -- we do live in Terrafrost, not Terraghost, after all -- and it just makes sense to spread the love during Amourok."



"That doesn't make sense," Mars scoffs. "It's called Terrafrost because of all the ice, not your obnoxious holiday. Which is not even obnoxious in a fun way! Mint everything, bows and glitter one cannot escape -- no no, Phantasmoire is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best holiday."



It seems like Amourok will be especially festive this year, with yet another Clash of Colours! Hop on over to the signup page to see if you'll be spreading Aurestal cheer or Phantasmoire frights while you search for Empty Heart Fragments!

These Fragments can be found stocking in NPC shops (excluding the Snow Jar Igloo, Port Rakor, and I.C.E Antiques), as well as from Heart Breaker and quest rewards -- and, if you're lucky, you'll find a Full Heart instead!



Once you've gathered all four Empty Heart Fragments, make sure to bring them to your team leader in order to transform them into a Full Jolly Heart or a Full Haunted Heart. The more Hearts you bring, the more points for your team!

What's that? The sound of glass shattering? It must be a game of Heart Breaker, which means it's almost time for Amourok!





To take part, click a heart once every 30 seconds to break it open. If you're lucky, you'll receive a festive consolation prize! If you're very lucky, you'll receive an Amourok Plush.

There is only one Amourok Plush per game, and its discovery ends the game. A new one will begin every thirty minutes (XX:00 and XX:30) -- if a game is already in progress, though, it will not reset, so keep breaking those hearts!

Is 30 seconds too long? Especially eager Terrafrostians may purchase an UHD from the I.C.E Shop to reduce the time between clicks to 15 seconds. (You will also get to select an additional perk -- the game timer reduction is included no matter what you choose!)



Heart Breaker will be providing some tasty snacks as its first wave of consolation prizes. They'll be switched out for some new ones on February 15th, so stock up!

Heart Breaker will run until February 23rd, 23:59:59 IcePets Time.

We're almost a week into February, and it appears that some Terrafrostians are... decorating for Aurestal? This strange phenomenon has been reported worldwide, primarily among homes with Aurestal pets. Some speculate that it's holdover from a couple of months ago. Others suspect they may be preparing for the holiday ten months early!



Understandably, many pets aren't fond of out-of-season decor. Mars, a Phantasmoire Krittle, has this to say:

"The oversaturation of Aurestal has gotten out of control!" the Krittle snarls. "The candy canes, the sparkly trees, the Aurestal carols -- it's simply disgusting! Blegh! It seems like Aurestal is beginning to overshadow other holidays that, in my humble opinion, deserve way more praise. If this doesn't settle down soon, the Phantasmoire community might have to take action..."



But Juniper, the Aurestal Traptur, feels differently.

"Nothing in Terrafrost compares to the warm, fuzzy feeling of waking up on Aurestal morning. That joy should not be restricted to one day a year!" the Traptur insists. "But if those Phantasmoire pets want to retaliate with their icky spiders and sticky slime and creepy costumes, that's fine by me. We'll just have to bring out the tinsel cannons!"

Hopefully, the tension between the Aurestal and Phantasmoire pets won't escalate too much in the coming days... After all, Amourok is just around the corner!
