IST   Hello, Terrafrostians! It's the 26th and you know what that means... The Jakrit Hunt has come to an end!This means not only the hunt is over, but also the end of eggs stocking in shops, being handed out through quests and the Five Random Jakrit Eggs being removed from the ICE Shop. IST Whoa, who is THIS fiery presence?!   Give me all the eggs!It looks like the Firebreathing Jakrit came just in time for the last Jakrit Egg Hunt of 2015! Like all Jakrits, it can be obtained through the Randomly Picked Jakrit Morphing Potion, stocking in the Snow Jar Igloo for 50,000 IcePoints and the ICE Shop, for only 500 IceCash (450 IceCash for Gold Members!) To honor this new color, the Randomly Picked Jakrit Morphing Potion will stock for the remainder of the month, so get it while you can!  April is almost over! That means it's time to open the voting booth for the next Member of the Month (or MOTM for short)! Who do you think deserves 50,000 IP and this exclusive avatar? Just in case you're needing extra Easter Credits to spend, we have added all of the new egg prizes to the Easter Quest!  For a final note, our Easter event will be ending after April 25th. Make sure you search all of the shops and do all of your quests for any extra Jakrit Eggs you may be after! We also hope you've been doing your Easter Hunt as many days as possible because the Jakrits have been keeping count!

IST What is this that I'm hearing? Something hopping...? Could it be...?!  Ctrl+F5 to see the updated art!It is! The brand new revamped Jakrits have arrived at IcePets! Just in time to celebrate Easter with us! As usual, they are only obtainable through the Randomly Picked Jakrit Morphing Potion, which is available through the Snow Jar Igloo for 50,000 IcePoints and through the ICE Shop, for only 500 IceCash (450 IceCash for Gold Members!)       It seems the new Jakrits brought some revamped items with them as well! All of the basic Jakrit Morphing Potions, the Jakrit Stamp, and the Yellow Jakrit Ice Cube have been revamped.  And the basic Jakrit Avatar has been subject to a few changes too! Don't all of these look gorgeous? The Mini Contest is now over!Five people managed to find five locations for each five new Jakrit Eggs. That's a total of 25 locations! Congratulations! IST Are you guys busy roaming the NPC Shops for the new Plastic Jakrit Eggs? We sure hope so! To make it a little easier, we've lowered the rarity to Uncommon for you, that should help with the Contest! Remember, we're looking for 5 locations for each egg, so that's a whopping 25 locations in total! When you've got them, send a message to @ Read and cross your fingers you're one of the first five! If you are, you will be sent a list of 10 items. Each winner gets to pick two items they want from the list, but beware: an item can only be picked once and it's a first-come, first-serve list. So you better get moving if you want the best prizes! Speaking of prizes, in the previous newspost we already hinted at some of them, but are you ready for the complete list?           If that didn't get you excited, I don't know what will! Don't forget the rules though: -No helping each other! If there is any suspicion of location sharing or answer sharing we will disqualify anyone involved. -Locations must be private messaged to @ Read by April 25th to count! -Buying the items isn't necessary, you just have to know that they're stocking in that shop. All Easter activities including the Jakrit Egg Hunt will end after April 25th, so be sure you look for those eggs while you can!

IST  The server switch is now over. Thank you for sticking with us! Everything should be stable and back to normal. The site should be even faster and go through less downtime. However, if you experience any issues with it, please post them on Site Glitches.

IST  Good morning, everyone! We want to begin the server switch early in the morning, so it should be starting soon. Please note that IcePets will be unstable or may even experience total downtime. This is normal and should stop happening once everything is up and finished. We will make sure that, if something happens, you will be notified via our Facebook and Twitter.

IST Good Morning all,
The old server came back up around 6:10 AM IST this morning. However, when I woke up at 6:45 AM, I read some messages about features not working completely properly. I am in the midst of fixing those issues. However, I was restarting the server and then it didn't boot. I have now reverted the server move temporarily until I can resolve those few issues that I was informed of. What this means - you can play the game as per usual right now and I'll post another news post once I take the final database backup, then at that point in time I would ask that you temporarily halt playing until we switch back. Sorry for the inconvenience.

IST  MINI CONTEST!Have you seen these little eggs around the shops? Did you remember where you found them? I hope so! Each one of these eggs is stocking in 5 different shops. If YOU can figure out which five shops each one of these is stocking in then you win! Simple, right? To continue on with the theme of fives, the first 5 people to message me (@ Read) with the five locations of each five of these eggs (That's twenty-five locations total!) will win special prizes! What kind of prizes, you ask? In order, the winners will be presented with a list of 10 items, each winner gets to pick two items they want from the list. An item from the list can only be picked once and it's a first-come, first-serve list so try to find the locations as quick as you can if you want the best prizes! To get you motivated, the list could include some of the following items: Each of the five winners will also receive 100,000 IcePoints!In two days we will lower the rarity by a stage and make these even easier to find. Within the past few months since moving to this current host, we have had serveral issues with both downtime and slowness. In an attempt to combat this, we will be yet again moving hosts. Hopefully this is for the last time. This move will start at 8:00 AM IST on Sunday morning (April 12, 2015). We will make a news post stating that we are starting the migration as soon as we begin and we will make a news post on the new server as soon as it is set up with the latest database. Once you see the new news post, you will know that you are able to play again (and have your information recorded). We will keep you informed of all updates on both Facebook and Twitter.

IST We know you've seen these guys by now...but what if I were to tell you that even more of them have been scattered throughout the site?! If you're lucky, you might find that some of these are now for sale in NPC shops, and the Quest Givers have gotten into the Easter Spirit and have been seen handing some out!  And the Randomly Picked Jakrit Morphing Potion is finally here! It's only available during the Easter Celebrations, and you can find it stocking in the Snow Jar Igloo for 50,000 iP as well as the Ice Shop for 500 IC (450 IC if you have a Gold Account!) We'd like to present the revamped version of the Five Random Jakrit Eggs! This baby is making a come back to the Ice Shop for 250 IC (225 IC if you have a Gold Account!!)You may have noticed already, but clicking on your iP will take you directly to the bank, and clicking your iC will take you directly to the ICE Shop! Thanks to @ Judda for adding these little conveniences!  As a final note, all April Fools festivities and pranks are now over, and I hope we can surprise you again next year! IST Finally the homepage pets match the event we are celebrating... It's April Fools!   Looks like there are some new faces around! They're the sneaky Prankster Trido and Prankster Novyn! Thanks go to @ Wonderrabbit for helping to fund these pets for her favorite holiday! How can you get those, you ask? As usual, the Prankster Pie is stocking in Sugar Rush at a rarity of Uncommon rather than Super Rare! Quick! Go get them! It's only for a week!  No, wait, wait! There's more! YES, more! The Suspicious Present is not only back, it comes with five new items. I wonder what they are...? You can find the Present stocking randomly in the shops at rarity Uncommon and through Quests. Hurry!
