IST There was much controversy over this switch...Some of you wanted it, some of you didn't. Some of you may have not wanted it but may now want it. Some of you may have wante....You get the point.  BEHOLD!! The new Space Dovu. CTRL + F5 if you don't see the updateThis magnificent Dovu was made by the one and only @ roar !! We matched our current style, while keeping the colors of the previous Space Dovu as an honorable tribute. Thank you @ roar for your artwork, and for putting up with our deliberation throughout the process. (: But wait, there's more!  What is this mysterious box!? It's a Mysterious ICE Box 2013!! But what does it do? Purchase it, open it, and receive three Items from our monthly I.C.E. batch releases! The three Items are randomized, but you will not get the same Item twice in one box. We told you guys those Items wouldn't retire. ;D The Mysterious ICE Box 2013 can only be purchased from the I.C.E. Shop for 1,000 IC. 900 IC for Gold Members! The 'select all' option only selects the comments on the page you are currently on. ^_^ We have also added a 'Select All' on the Private Messages page, so you don't have to check each individual box when you want to delete your entire inbox! Who did these things for us? Our brand spanking new programmer, @ lilmousiee !!! Give her a huge, warm welcome! She will be working alongside @ Programmer on tasks he assigns her! Great to have you with us, @ lilmousiee !    It has come down to this...We have asked you before, but this will be the final poll. Should there be a Plushie Collection? The majority rule on this poll will decide if we implement an official Plushie Collection on IcePets. Because this decision is so important, and because we are leaving it completely up to the users of IcePets, we're doing the poll a little differently. To vote in the poll, you must visit the IcePets shop and purchase one of the Items there for 10,000 IP. This is non-refundable. This is to ensure we're not getting spam votes, or votes from newbies who are just looking to gain the reward you get for voting in polls. This is not to say we don't value the opinions of our newbies, we just want to make sure the votes we get are from dedicated users who generally know what's good for the site. The votes are being tallied online, and a physical tally is being kept as well. Each member of your group is required to make at least 10 posts above 500 characters. One member of your group will need to make a thread for your group titled [RP Contest] Group X in Roleplay Central. (Replace the X with the group number you are assigned below.) The member of your group who creates your thread will be responsible for adding the following items to the first post: -------------------------------------------
Group Members:(List all members of your group here.) Plot Summary:(Summarize your RP plot. Keep your summary 500 words or less. This needs to completed before the deadline of the contest.) Please have the above items separate from the start of your roleplay.  ------------------------------------------- The Plot:Summer was an optimal season in Glacia, where snowy storms were scarce and the temperature was mild. Most residents took advantage of the seemingly warm weather and often ventured outside. However, the mountains were a vast place and it was wise to consider traveling with a partner. Getting lost in the wilderness was a very real danger, especially when towns were secluded due to the large stretches of land. Even in your own hometown there were places one must take caution. A fine example is the story about the beloved Frozen Collective Emporium owner, Jacob.
Jacob wasn't the brightest Dovu of the bunch, but he did a lot for the community. He was a good friend and an even better salesman. He kept the best stock of ice cubes and was well known for his work. But during this particular season, shipments were backed up from the ice box and demand was higher than his supply. So he decided to take matters into his own wings.
I'm going to find my own raw material! I can't let my customers down!, he said to himself with a puffed out chest and confidence to spare. I heard rumors the abandoned mine shaft has some rare ice cubes deep within its crumbling walls and I'm determined to claim those as my own!
Jacob traveled to the mine the next day with tools to excavate the ice cubes, a cooler to store the cubes, a hardhat equipped with a light atop, and a packed lunch. He did not consider the danger very well -- in fact he only left a message on his shop door about his whereabouts. The Dovu reached the opening of the mine in the early morning, eventually finding a prime spot to dig into the icy cavern walls. The arch that he worked under was unstable to a keen eye, but Jacob fiercely swung a pick axe without a second thought. After an hour of extensive labor, he managed to find a plain ice cube. Though it wasn't incredibly rare, the fact that their were indeed ice cubes hidden in the mines filled him with intense elation.
I FOUND AN ICE CUBE!!! he screamed carelessly, flapping his wings and dancing near the dig spot. Suddenly, the wall shifted, small pebbles spilling from the archway. As Jacob continued jumping around, it enticed large boulders to tumble down, creating a small avalanche of rocks and ice that blocked the way he ventured through. Thankfully, he was not injured by the sudden collapse, but he was now stuck inside the mines with no means of escape!-------------------------------------------  Last, but not least, the prizes!Participation: 10,000 IP Successful conclusion of the plot: Choice of any Quest Store item under 1000 Quest Points. IST Hey guys, stop doing stuff right this second! 8D The backup is going to begin seconds after this news post, so anything you do after reading this may not be recorded.  That doesn't mean go sell everything to the Scrap Shop, or do anything you might regret later...Cause @ Programmer needs some time to get everything set up before he makes the switch so things *might* carry over. Best to stay on the safe side and just visit our temporary site at ice2.icepets.com . Everything you do there will be recorded, and will stay with the site once we go live on our new server. IST Hey guys!! 8D Sometime tomorrow, probably around 8 pm IST, the site *may* go down. We know for sure it will be a little sluggish, but there is a chance it will go down completely. Why? WE'RE SWITCHING SERVERS!!! Yes, we can finally escape the dark clutches of the dreaded HostGator. ;0; Again, the server switch is expected to be around 8 pm IST, and according to @ Programmer , the site should not have any down time, but we want to tread on the safe side and let you know we might be offline for a bit. ^_^ Here is a direct quote from @ Programmer : 'Around 8 pm IST we will be starting our server migration. In order to kick it off, we will be taking a complete backup of the site. Up until that point in time, any actions on the site may not be logged. Once the backup is complete we will be directing you to the new server.' You can still play on IcePets.com , but once the backup begins, anything you do there will not be saved until we are back home on the new server. An announcement will be made before the backup begins.

IST  Hello and welcome to the sign ups for our very first Roleplaying Event! We hope to get some of you creative folk excited to write some awesome stories for some fabulous prizes! First thing in order is to sign-up. You can have 2-5 people per group. You can request to sign up with your friends... but don't worry! If you don't have any people in mind, we will pair you up with another user(s) and hopefully you can make new friends! After all, one of the best things about Roleplaying is that collaborative storytelling leads to great friends and meeting new people. We encourage you to set up a group discussion in the Chit-Chat section to work together after sign-ups are complete.  Please fill out this form to sign up!1) Username 2) Do you want to form a group with friends or be placed in a random group? 3) If you are creating a group with friends, will you allow us to place more people in your group? 4) If you already know who you are signing up with, who are your other team members? Sign ups will be held until Saturday evening. For those who are hesitant to join because you are unsure of your Roleplay ability or how to exactly Roleplay, please ask any and all questions here and refer to the Roleplay Stickie for further information! Basically, we will be looking at post length (500 characters minimum per post), the effort to work with your team makes to further the plot throughout the event, effort to create an interesting character throughout the course of the plot, basic grammar and spelling, and creativity. Though this may seem tricky, these are key characteristics found in a literate RP. However, there will be prizes for participating, showing effort and having the willingness to have fun and write! This is also a good way to improve your Roleplaying skills or to try Roleplaying for the first time! The above are just pointers for possibly getting a grand prize! Prizes will be announced along with the scenario to RP with when the sign-ups closed. What should you expect? Basically, you will be given the beginning of the plot that you will have to integrate into your Roleplay. Your job is to create and complete the story in about two weeks time. Each member of the group will write with one main character, with additional supporting characters if you decide to do so during the course of the RP. There will also be an Icepets NPC included in the scenario, which can be controlled at the discretion of the group. Post your sign-up sheet... Starting now!
