IST The applications for artist has now closed. We received a fantastic response, and many hours have been spent going through each application to find artists that match our style. We are now in the final stages of the application process, with the positions narrowed down, and the potential new artists now having their abilities tested. I'll post up in a few days with the results On a more saddening note, unfortunately Vermillion has decided to step down as artist at icepets, so that she can focus on other personal projects. An artist position is available to her if she ever decides to come back.  You will be missed by all of us

IST Due to the high volume of Fundraiser requests, there will be a slight delay on each requests release. Pets, Item bundles, hidden Avatars, and Custom Avatars are going to take slightly longer than normal, but rest assured, they will be released!    On a slightly related note, we are now accepting applications for Artists! Do you think you can match our style? Do you have some spare time? Do you need some $$extra cash$$, or wish to earn some spare IceCash? Send in an application to [email protected]. You are free to include attachments or links to examples of your art. Please remember to include your username!! To be hired as an artist on IcePets, you need to fulfill the following requirements: At least 13 years of age Easily contactable onsite and off Available to log on at least once every two days Open to criticism Able to make changes to art upon request If you meet those requirements and feel you can match IcePets' style, send your application to [email protected]! IST  Nominations are now open! The lucky winner will be announced on the first of October and receive this exclusive secret avatar as well as 50,000 iP!  We are looking for someone who has really made a good impression on users and the community. Someone who is helpful, active on the forums, generous, and just goes that extra mile! Simply message Dante with your chosen nomination before September 29th! Please remember staff decision is final and you are unable to nominate yourself, or another staff member. Side note: As for information on moderation applications, we have decided not to hire anyone else for now, as we have enough staff on duty. We will keep the current applications saved, so if positions ever open up again and you ever want to re-apply, you can message Dante and tell her to reuse your application. This, however, is not highly advised, as you may have more experience to share next time. It also only counts towards the people who most recently applied. Thank you for your patience.

IST Just a quick heads up; currently the Skeletal Wulfer Morphing Potion is being given out by a random Quest. In one weeks time, that will change, and the Skeletal Wulfer Morphing Potion will only be available through the Snow Jar Igloo and Historian.  As if you needed more incentive to do Quests!To maintain the current approximate value of the Morphing Potion, the rarity will be set at 'Rare' instead of 'Super Rare'. This change will happen on Thursday, September 27th.

IST  Welp you've done 6,000+ Quests and have racked up quite a few Quest Points and now you want something to do with them.  Feed them to meeee!*Slaps* How about spending them in a brand new Quest Store!?      The Quest Store only has a few Items in it at the moment, but rest assured you'll have to do quite a few Quests to get everything in there. More will be added along the way, so watch for updates!! You may have noticed the Quest Store NPC around before...We thought long and hard, and interviewed many candidates before selecting the War Trido. He's strong enough to defend the Quest Store Items, and calm enough to deal with uses who can't decide what to buy. ;D If you're observant, you've seen a few Morphing Potions go missing from the I.C.E. Shop and Easter Shop. The Space Wulfer Helmet, Space Ridix Morphing Potion, Flying Xephyr Morphing Potion, Ancient Cobron Morphing Potion, Flying Dovu Morphing Potion, and Ancient Traptur Morphing Potion were moved to the Limited Stock section and are to be removed at the end of the month. All six of those Morphing Potions, along with the Space Dovu Morphing Potion, have been removed from the Snow Jar Igloo. You may still receive the Ancient and Flying Morphing Potions from the Plot Store, as well as all seven Morphing Potions from the Historian.  Don't worry, I have plenty of these Morphing Potions stocked up. (:All the Morphing Potions in the Easter Shop have been removed, except for the appropriately placed Jakrit Morphing Potions. Again, the Historian has plenty of these Morphing Potions stock piled in the back. ^_^ A huge thanks to Vermillion and Dzhelasi for the art, Brose for the writing, and of course, Nate for the awesome programming of the Quest Store!!

IST You may have noticed that the statistics section on the quests has been given a slight makeover. All Quest Points are now combined into one number. (More info on that revealed soon).  For those that also like to use the Quest Extender you will notice that the bar no longer stretches the page. Instead, the Extended Quests have their own GOLD percentage bar also. IST  After long consideration on whether or not to change the name, and what to change the name to, we decided it is best to keep the name IcePets. Every single name suggestion was reviewed and discussed in team meetings, and in the end we came to the conclusion that none of the many names would better serve the site than the one we have now.

How do you get this m4gnific3n7 5733d?  The brand new Tech Snow Jar, of course! Once you get your hands on a Zabeu, just get your hands on this Snow Jar and you can own a Tech Zabeu! Easy, right? ;D  Tech Zabeu too nerdy for you?This lovely Angelic Zabeu was funded by the loving Zanthia, and drawn by the lovely Vermillion!! How to get?  We're not releasing Zabeu Morphing Potions, so stop hoping!!This lovely Angelic Snow Jar was drawn by our lovely artist Rose! Wait! We're not done yet!!  Anyone need something to squish?Whabam! Plushie Xephyr!! This stuffing filled Pet was funded by the lovely Abi and drawn by Vermillion! And, yes, you guessed it... Yes, the Sharshel is now available in Black and Brown!! Both Morphing Potions are currently stocking in the Snow Jar Igloo! Sharshel Day wouldn't be complete without it's very own line of Plushies!!      You have Myst to thank for those squishable Plushies, as well as Brose for their hilariously appropriate descriptions!! IST  End Contest! ...Well...Almost. An astonishing event has occurred with the Art Contest that has never happened in IcePets history. ((The entire two Art Contest history! ;D)) We have a tie for first place. I've thought about it over the past two days and I believe the best way to go about solving this matter would be a duel to the death!   I mean...I guess it's not really a duel...Well, it kinda is... Anyways! It is up to you to decide the fate of the Art Contest! Vote for your favorite piece between the two tied contestants here! Accounts created after the 20th of August, 2012 are not eligible to vote!Voting will end in a week on September 19th, 2012 at 11:59:59 pm IST. IST Michael no longer is an owner of IcePets, his share of the ownership is now owned by Nate. Nothing changes on your end with this, Nate has been unofficially acting as partner for a while. I will share a little history for those who might want to know. Feb 28th 2009 I decided to start developing a pet site, Michael partnered with me that same day and provided the initial funding to get us going. Not long after starting, Nate came on board and reprogrammed all the existing code to a better quality. Today Nate still programs IcePets, manages the team, and now owns half of IcePets.

IST  One of IcePets' sweetest couples is celebrating a birthday today! Dragonfire is sharing his Custom Avatar with his sweet significant oher, Wonderrabbit as a celebration of their marriage and her birthday. How sweet! In celebration of Wonderrabbit's birthday, this fabulous Skeletal Jakrit was also funded in her name!  Aren't I cute?This Pet can only be achieved by using a Skeletal Snow Jar on any colored Jakrit. Thank you for funding, Dragonfire, thank you for the art, Vermillion, and happy birthday Wonderrabbit!  This beautiful banner may be seen at the top of your page for a little while, advertising the fact that our Pinata themed Morphing Potions have been moved into the Limited Stock section of the I.C.E. Shop and will be leaving the shop completely at the end of September! The only way to get them after that will be by pure luck at the Historian, or by catching them at the Snow Jar Igloo!
