IST  Seems the Historian has closed!!  Yes, my little home here is being renovated. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience. The Historian was brought to the site with a plan, but the remainder of that plan was never fulfilled. Instead of continuing to ruin the economy waiting for the rest of the plan to unfold, we've allowed the Historian to take a little fishing trip to relax. ^_^ It is unclear when he will return from fishing. Who knows? Maybe he'll realize he never wanted to be a historian in the first place. *Shrugs*         That means, all Morphing Potions and Snow Jars, new and old, are now stocking in the Snow Jar Igloo!! Except...For a few. We've spent very much the entire morning, and some of the afternoon, moving, deleting, adding, and reorganizing all of our current credit shops. This includes the Referral Store, I.C.E. Shop, Quest Store, Raffle Store, Plot Store, Token Booth and many more not listed here. We've been aiming for consistency - All Xephyr Morphing Potions have been removed from everywhere, and are now only available in the Golden Touch, for example. IST We've been holding onto this guy for a while, and we feel the release time is finally right!      These beauties were done by the fantastic @ Vermillion ! But...Wait. Does that mean...Yes, @ Vermillion is back on the IcePets team!! She will be mainly be doing Pets, so keep an eye out for her work!     The Brown Ridix Morphing Potion, along with all the other Ridix Morphing Potions will be stocking in the Snow Jar Igloo until the end of next month to celebrate the revamp! These lovely Morphing Potions were drawn by the amazing @ Hornbuckle !! These few Ridix themed Items have also gotten a revamp!    The Ridix Stamp, the Ice Ridix Stamp, and the Red Ridix Ice Cube, which has been renamed to the Orange Ridix Ice Cube. ((Red Ridix was just getting too much time in the spotlight. ;D )) These lovely Items, plus the revamped Ridix Avatar below, were completed by @ Read !  Remember to CTRL + F5 if you can't see the updated images! There are still a couple of Ridix Items out there that need revamping. Those will be completed in the near future. The post that was made before that time with the highest bid will win the auction.       The forum times have been changed to reflect the new site owner's time zone and the site clock will soon have the same update. There was an error with our cron jobs because of the change over, and as a result, @ Read won the raffle! o.o; C-Congratulations? Anyone could have won this raffle, so we're just going to count it as a live raffle and start a new one to end this Saturday night on our normal schedule. Sorry for any confusion.

The @Ping feature had a small update...After observing the feature live, we decided to have @ Programmer change it so when you click the @Ping notification, it automatically scrolls you to the post you were pinged in. A couple details about the @Ping feature: *@Pinging a user sends them a notification. If you edit your post before they view the post, it will not resend the notification. If they view your post, then you edit again, it will resend the notification. *You can @Ping yourself, and you will get a notification, but because when you post you are already on the thread you @Pinged yourself on, the notification disappears. *If you have multiple @Pings on the same thread, you will be scrolled to which ever notification you clicked. The other notification will disappear because you visited the thread.  We are still reviewing Moderator Applications. Such a decision requires a lot of attention, so we are being very careful not to rush things. (:

IST Hey guys, great to be back!! 8D Were any of you able to figure out this cryptic clue??           Believe it or not, it's another Cubed Pet!! We listed all the species in Plushie form, but some of our Pets don't have matching Plushies. The only one that wasn't listed, that had a basic matching Plushie was the Sharshel.  Introducing the Cubed Sharshel!! This manifestation of adorableness was drawn by the queen of cute - Hornbuckle!!  This Pet can only be obtained by owning a Sharshel and using a Cubed Snow Jar on it. Once again, we want to emphasize that the Cubed Snow Jar will only ever be available in the I.C.E. Shop. It is selling for 500 IC 450 IC for Gold Members! and will never be available through any other means. As said in the news post when we released the Cubed Cobron and the Cubed Trido, we believe this is fair because IC can be sold to users by users for IP. It is not a cash Item, it is an IC Item. Give your thanks to @ Hornbuckle for this little square dude!! Next up, we have some Custom Avatars to release!!    These three Custom Avatars were made by the glorious @ Read!! An example of abuse may be, @Pinging a user multiple times for no reason. We do not tolerate harassment or bullying.If you do not like this feature, or you feel you are being @Pinged too much, there is an option in your Forum Settings to disable these notifications. Remember, just because you type someone's username, doesn't mean you have to @Ping them. IST We did it!! As of 3:28 pm IST, Speedie is the new sole owner of IcePets.com!! Thank you everyone, for your continued support. We are eternally grateful. ;-; So, what's next? We have a couple things planned for release that have been put off since the site went up for sale. All our staff members are still with us, and we will be picking up right where we left off. We are taking the rest of the night off to relax, ((This whole week has been very hectic and stressful for everyone!!)) and celebrate, but we will be back to work tomorrow with new releases!!   We love you all so much; thanks for sticking by us through thick and thin.

IST The site as it sits now is capable of more income than it has in the past, if the owner is willing to put in the time doing the right things. Unfortunately I don't have the time, so the new owner will reap the rewards. If the new owner wants, I'll provide info on how to make IcePets a more profitable business. Things that will increase traffic, and things that will increase sales, while making the site more enjoyable to play. Google Analytics is being used to track the homepage only, and shows from July 18th – August 17th 5,880 unique visitors. 64% of them are returning visitors. Average visit duration of 5 minutes 14 seconds. The accounting is done in Outright. All sales and expenses are recorded to it with no manual input required. This was set up to have our detailed financial info for 2013. Domain IcePets.com was registered March 6th 2009, so it's getting close to 4 ½ years of age. The domain will not need renewal until March 6th 2014. Hosting is the Level 5 Virtual Private Server at Hostgator for $104.95 per month, due on the 25th of each month. The account comes with $161.70 of credits, so the next 1 1/2 months of hosting are covered. Facebook.com/Icepets has 290 likes and 20 shares. From July 25th – 31st there was an outreach of 284. July 18th – 24th we had an outreach of 499. July 11th – 17th we had a total outreach of 194. July 3rd – 10th there was a total weekly outreach of 63 people, the week before an outreach of 71 people. The traffic is organic. No paid advertising was done to increase traffic other than close to 2 years ago when projectwonderful was being tested. There are a total of 321 pet colors. -Books can be read in a collection feature for your pets, and then are added to your library where you read stories that were written for them. On your pet the total number of books read is counted, and the number of unique books read. There are 129 books. -Beauty collection also counts the total number of beauty items used on a pet, and the number of unique beauty items used. There are 172 beauty items. Cuddly Capsule Six, Unamused Tabby Cat, Blood Orange, Evil Snow Jar, Dragon Statue Plushie, Tech Jakrit Morphing Potion, Referral Os, Incandescent Book, Devil Horns, and Oven Mits. Welcome to the Icepets' family, the Cubed Trido!! This adorable guy was drawn by the one and only, Hornbuckle!! This Pet can only be obtained by owning a Trido and using a Cubed Snow Jar on it. Once again, we want to emphasize that the Cubed Snow Jar will only ever be available in the I.C.E. Shop. It is selling for 500 IC 450 IC for Gold Members!and will never be available through any other means. As said in the news post when we released the Cubed Cobron, we believe this is fair because IC can be sold to users by users for IP. It is not a cash Item, it is an IC Item.  Just to answer a question that came up in the last Cubed release, if you fund a Cubed Pet, you will receive a Cubed Snow Jar when the Pet is released. Thanks again, Hornbuckle, I'm sure everyone will love this Pet as much as they loved the Cubed Cobron! Hm, that seems to be all the news for today, OH WAIT NO IT'S NOT!!  Due to extremely popular demand, Pet Profiles are now editable via the My Pets page!! It may take some tinkering for users who are not familiar with this type of coding, but a guide will be posted in the Guides section soon. (: All edits show up live in the description box, but won't be published until you press the 'Update Descriptions & Positions' button at the top. Once that button is pressed, everything you've edited in will show up on the Pet's Profile. If you come across a Pet's Profile that you feel is not appropriate for IcePets, please submit a ticket via our Help & Support link at the bottom of every page. Please include a link to the Pet's page, and if you feel it's necessary, a screen shot of the offending material. IST We have a couple small things to let you guys know about...We've been working a bit on improving smaller aspects of the site with the programming knowledge we do have and we've changed a couple things.  First off is our Stamp Collection page. All of our current Stamps have been moved to one category and put in alphabetical order so it is easier to see what Stamps you have and what you still need. This was an overwhelmingly popular request, and we believe it looks much better this way. ^_^ Due to a recent inquiry, we realized our latest Jakrit Eggs had not been added to the Item Five Random Jakrit Eggs. Instead of making a new Item to differentiate between each year's release of Jakrit Eggs, we decided to just add them to the original.  Now contains      As well as all the other Jakrit Eggs released onsite. (: Just a reminder, moderator applications are still being reviewed. It takes a lot of time and a lot of thought to choose a new staff member, and we want to ensure that we hire the best person for the position. We are still taking applications at this time.  A lot of users don't even know the purpose of some of these Items! So to make things a little more informative, we decided to change the current method of receiving the F360 Complete Set and F360 Stamp to Jigsaw Puzzles! The Stamp may be a little harder to get, but who doesn't love a good challenge? (;     Tired of seeing these yet? ;D Contest participants - If you have not yet messaged Speedie or Read, please do so by the end of this week! Failure to submit your prize requests will result in forfeiting your winnings!  Speaking of contest prizes, we apologize, but we can't figure out how to increase a user's Quest Point value. We thought it would be a simple change of a number in a table, but as it turns out, negative interegers were incorporated. We tested extensively and could not get the Quest Point value to change no matter what we did. To solve this issue, we are awarding Items from the Quest Shop, instead of Points. Users on Team Yellow Sharshel may pick an Item that is less than 1,000 Quest Points. Users on Teams Green Trido and Red Dovu may pick an Item that is less than 500 Quest Points. Users from Team Blue Audril may pick an Item that is less than 250 Quest Points. Please submit your requests to Read by the end of the week. We apologize for the inconvenience. Users who have already messaged Speedie and Read have had their prizes awarded already. If you believe you have received the wrong prizes, please message Speedie to have it corrected. The Starting Pets auctions will begin sometime this week, and will run for an entire week to give everyone a chance to bid. A news post will be made when the auctions start, and rules will be posted then. IST This is a formal, public apology to the users of IcePets and our beloved artists. A while back, I said that I would be taking on the artist's debt myself. This was so art could continue to be requested and paid for by users, while I personally paid off the debt in the 'background'. I had originally had a payment plan worked out that our artists had agreed to, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I became unable to make those bi-weekly payments. In order to be fair to the artists, we are using the profits made from IC purchases to pay the past debts owed to them. I realize this is not fair, to you, our users, but I hope you will all agree with me that repaying what we owe is more important that upcoming programming. I have been able to make a $35 payment towards the debt as of today. After paying our programmer for speeding up the site, as well as a few minor tasks we asked him to complete, we were left with $70 to use to pay our artists. Profits made from IC and Gold Membership sales, as well as anything I can spare along the way will be used to pay the debt we owe our artists. The Artist Paid Thread will be updated momentarily, and we will be messaging users who purchased IC and Gold Memberships to check if they wish to remain anonymous. I apologize once again, for not being able to hold up to the promise I made previously. I take full responsibility for my actions.

IST Holy crap you guys are fast!!! Please stop trying to add colors to your Pet's Closet! Because of the way this contest was set up, it is still possible to add colors to your Pet's Closet. Anything added to the Closet cannot be returned, so stop now! Announcements will be made and prizes will be handed out in the next couple of days. IST Hey guys! I have got quite a lot of news to announce tonight! ---------------------------- Duckies!   To start us off, we have removed the American Flag Ducky and Independence Day Ducky from the Toy Shop. These festive items will not be found in the Toy Shop until next year. I hope you were able to get one (or more) for yourself! ---------------------------- New ICE Batch items!      After experiencing several issues due to our server and staff changes, we have been unable to produce ICE batch items regularly. Therefore, during the first four days that these items are in the ICE shop, they will be half off their regular price as a way to compensate you for your wait and being patient with us through these difficult times. These items will be in the I.C.E Shop for 200 IC or 180 IC for Gold Account owners! ---------------------------- Team Captains I hope everyone is actively discussing their team leaders for the contest!
