Terrafrostians are claiming the screams from the Haunted House have become more intense this year. Despite the horrors within -- as each successful participant returns, they are grinning wide while clutching their prize. In an effort to earn more smiles than screams, the Haunted House will be available once an hour all day today, October 31st, until 23:59:59 IcePets Time. Get your fright on!



The Haunted House is not the only activity ending tonight. Be sure to finish up any last minute Haunting, Grave Digging, or Ghost Hunting! All Phantasmoire events will be disappearing until next year. Things may be different for you on this Phantom's Hallows, but everyone can still have a great time following the rules of the local communities. We hope everyone has a safe Phantom's Hallows wherever they may be celebrating it this evening. Eat lots of candy, scare your friends, and be safe.

October 20th is a special day for IcePets, since it's celebrating it's 11th anniversary today!

The Staff are grateful to all of the Members, as well as present and past Staff, for helping shape IcePets into the great community it is today. We can only boast about having such a compassionate and friendly community thank to our Member's beautiful hearts, which allows people to have a place to relax.

There have been bumps over the years and ownership has even changed hands a few times, but that never broke the spirit of IcePets. Whether you are a new Member or been here since day one, each and every one of you is appreciated, and are the reason IcePets keeps pushing forward. Joining in the festivities the Party Traptur, funded by @IcePrincess, is ready to celebrate. If you're up for it, they may even join you in a dance contest! With the party in full force, we are pleased to share some updates! As you take a bite into the Birthday Cake the new design may catch your eye. These certainly add some excitement to the party.

As Phantasmoire draws closer and closer to Phantom's Eve, you may notice more and more of Terrafrost's spookiest denizens wandering about... it looks like some familiar ghosts of Terrafrost have been spotted roaming the lands once again! If you're lucky, you might even spot a brand new face as well.



Phantasmoire is the one time of year that closes the gap between the spiritual realm and ours, so these spectral friends are always sure to pay the land of Terrafrost a visit! From now until October 31st, 23:59:59 IcePets Time, the ghosts of Pets past can be found once again, handing out tricks or treats to Phantasmoire costumed Pets. These spooky fellows will appear around Terrafrost three times a day, but will disappear for the day should you trick them!



The Ouija Board has also returned to give you an oppertuhnity to better speak with these ghosts! The item will reset your ghosts for the day and allow you to find them all once more. They can only be used once per day, however.

You can find the Ouija Board as a possible prize from the Spiritual Present until the end of the month -- so head on over to Grave Digger if you want to try your luck!

But if you don't want to wait, or Grave Digger isn't on your side, the Ouija Board is also available in the I.C.E. Shop for 150 IceCash (135 IceCash for Gold Account members!) until the end of the month.

As the sun sets earlier and the nights grow colder, something familiar can be heard stirring in the graveyard. Terrafrostians have reported that the strange noises and spooky sounds coming from the cemetery have returned once again. The power of the spirits grows stronger as the month goes by, and that means it's time for this year's Grave Digger to open for the Phantasmoire season!



Some have spotted what appears to be the ghastly Spiritual Present hidden underneath these tombsontes. A new present will appear every 30 minutes, so grab your shovel and get ready to start digging! You can dig under one grave every 30 seconds until one lucky soul is able to find the Spiritual Present. As you dig, you may come across some magical treasures, both old and new. Grave Digger will run until October 31st at 23:59:59 IcePets Time, so you best be quick if you want to find them all!

If you have used a UHD on your account for any feature, the wait time between digging is reduced to 15 seconds.

If you have been looking for some new Toys to keep you occupied while at home, then you're in luck! Today, Samuel has two brand Items to share. The Deserted Island Board Game and Sunset Orbie both which have been funded by @Travis and @mochihugs respectively. Terrafrostians can now spend hours taking care of their own private Island with their new furry friend! If you aren't having luck restocking these in the Toy Trunk, Samuel may reward you one from his Plushie Quest. The Rainbow Hand Mirror Ice Cube has joined the list of Items to be made from the Ice Box. If you cannot recall how to obtain a Rainbow Hand Mirror to freeze, visit the Jigsaw Puzzle game for a refresher. Make sure you have a spare on hand, once it's frozen you cannot gaze into it again!





With all the changes happening this Phantasmoire it is no surprise some Avatars are getting an updated look. The Happy Phantasmoire Avatar (Formerly "Happy Halloween") has had the text updated to reflect the new holiday name. The Too Full... Avatar has been revamped as part of the latest update to Basic Pet Colours. If you haven't collected these already, maybe this will be a helpful reminder!

The frightening new look of the Phantasmoire Trido is a sight you won't soon forget. These ghastly new Tridos always carry a brightly lit lamp, leading their friends through the dark, Phantasmoire nights. If a party has a scary costume contest, you can bet they stand a good chance at winning!

As Phantasmoire rolls around, Pets across Terrafrost start breaking out their spookiest costumes and scariest ensambles in celebration of Terrafrost's most haunting time of year. While there is no shortage of looks to choose from, it never hurts to have some more! Thus, we are looking to you for our Costume Design Contest! The topic of this contest is to design a costume for Terrafrost's Pets to go Haunting in! Whether it be a ghastly getup or a silly suit, there's sure to be a Pet who would love to don the outfit for the occasion.

You are free to submit your costume image as either a standalone costume, similar to the Items such as the Masked Drama Costume or the Magical Sailor Costume, or as an image with a Pet wearing it! The 1st place winner will get their costume design turned into a real item on the site for all to wear! They will also receive a copy of their costume Item for free.



Rules

Rule 1 - Work must be entirely your own. Please do not trace original artwork or use Google images. However, image manipulation of IcePets art to create graphics is acceptable.
Rule 2 - One entry per User.
Rule 3 - Feel free to get creative! You can use existing IcePets art or draw your own, but it must be a costume to use for Haunting!
Rule 4 - While you may use existing IcePets artwork in your submission it must be modified in some way in order to create your idea, not just a one-to-one of something on IcePets.
Rule 5 - Your submission cannot be something that already exists on the site.
Rule 6 - Your submission cannot be identical to other existing costumes, designs or ideas outside of IcePets; you may make references with your costume, but it cannot be a direct copy.

It looks like the Haunted House has more guests than normal! Thanks to the spooky energy in the air, spirits have an easier time crossing over to our realm. For those with nowhere to go, or the deadly urge to party, the Haunted House is a perfect designation! It is always suggested to visit it at least once during this time of year, especially if you want to experience some amazing frights and even win a prize. However, since so many ghosts are just itching to give you a fright, you can enter more often for the time being -- every three hours instead of six.



It also looks like these harmless specters have brought a lot a few older Phantasmoire items to add as prizes! You may not find these items during any other time of year, so get them while you can. If you need a little extra help navigating the halls, head over to the I.C.E Shop and purchase a Rustic Oil Lantern for 100 IC (90 IC for Gold Account users)!

When the days grow shorter, the nights colder, and the shadows grow, Phantasmoire is surely here! During this time of year, the line between the earthly and spiritual realms blur and becomes easier to cross. Don't worry, however. Most of the spirits are friendly and harmless. Many of these ghosts don't have the power needed to cause havoc, but they can occasionally affect certain objects or make some spooky noises, if they feel up to it.



Since ghosts come from the spirits of those who have passed, for many it is also the time of year to put out lanterns and candles to help guide these souls back home. Food, candy, warm drinks, and other treats are traditionally set onto doorsteps to welcome them, but these treats aren't just for spirits! Make sure to participate in the yearly Haunting (formally known as Trick or Treating) and don't forget to keep your door fully stocked with candy! Visiting ghosts also accept offerings in the form of delicious food and drinks. Many traveling ghosts simply stop by and float around before heading to the next house. If a spirit has a special attachment to the place they visit, they may stay longer. Please treat these souls kindly, as those that are neglected or mistreated may become resentful - even dangerous.



Keep an eye out for those visiting spirits and make sure to stop by the Beauty King to get your furry friends dressed up for the occasion! As he does every year, the Beauty King will offer one free Phantasmoire morph, so choose wisely!

The month of October will now be referred to as Phantasmoire, Halloween Day will be referred to as Phantom's Eve and Trick or Treating will be referred to as Haunting. This change will affect many things across the site, including Item names, Pet Colours, and Book Content.
