In 4th place, we have Team Yellow Sharshel with a total of 168,329 points! Altogether, they spent 33,821,999 IcePoints, purchased 28,884 Items, and completed 4,190 Quests.



Up next in 3rd place is Team Green Trido with a total of 220,816 points! Altogether, they spent 31,575,857 IcePoints, purchased 29,889 Items, and completed 5,869 Quests.



Taking 2nd place is Team Blue Audril with a total of 267,558 points! Altogether, they spent 50,559,778 IcePoints, purchased 44,734 Items, and completed 4,705 Quests.



And in 1st place, we have our winner! Say congrats to Team Red Dovu with a total of 468,037 points! Altogether, they spent 105,307,726 IcePoints, purchased 70,786 Items, and completed 5,838 Quests.

With this update on the Team Contest, the IcePets Team also wanted to let our members know about an important update about team chips. Unlike in other events, all team chips will be removed at the end of the event, to help ensure each team starts off at an even playing field next year. Due to this we strongly recommend turning in all chips before the end of the event since they will be removed from the site entirely, including from inventories, shops, galleries, etc.



The days are getting longer and the weather's getting hotter, which means the Summer Surprise Basket is back! This basket will carry one of many fun summer-themed Items ranging from old classics to a few new goodies. You can find them at all NPC Shops (except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor) and receive them as rewards from Quests, too. Be sure to get your hands on one (or several!) soon, because they'll only be available until July 4th, 23:59:59 IcePets Time.

Your Team and Teammates for this year are listed further below. The official IcePets Discord will have private channels for each Team, so if you'd like to chat with your team members and plan in private, hop on in!

Completing Quests will earn you 5 points, unless the quest giver requests an item with a rarity of rare or super rare, in which case it will be worth 10 points. Playing Jar Match, Coined, Sarshel Says, and Ice Breaker will earn 5 points for each successful score submitted. Restocking Items will earn your Team points based on rarity of the Items involved.

Rarity 2 = 2 Points
Rarity 3 = 4 Points
Rarity 4 = 7 Points
Rarity 5 = 10 Points




Not only that, this year we are introducing Team Chips! You may turn them in to your Team Leader for a set amount of points, which is based on their rarity:

Blue, Green, Red, Yellow Chips = 5 Points
Bronze Chip = 10 Points
Silver Chip = 15 Points
Gold Chip = 20 Points
Team Chip = 25 Points

The Team Chip may be obtained by turning a Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow Chip in to your Team Leader for them to combine. The others will be restocking in all Shops (except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor) and may be given out as Quest rewards.

These Chips are supplemental to Item restocking, playing games and questing. You will still receive points for restocking Items that are not Chips, and for completing Quests that do not reward Chips.

Also, regardless of rarity, all restocking Chips are priced at 1 iP. This is intentional!

If you already did quests for today, do not worry! Those points have been added to your score for the day. Restocking points however, will only be tallied from this point on, with the official start of the event!

You may have also noticed some changes to our shops -- shop times have been decreased and you should notice more items being available. Also to help make questing easier, please visit this link to claim 14 days of free Gold Account time.

It's that time of year again -- the battle of team Blue Audril, Green Trido, Red Dovu, and Yellow Sharshel is about to begin! So fill up your water bottles and put on your Team Contest-themed gear, because the competition will be starting before you know it.

If you want to sign up for the annual Team Contest, now's the perfect time to do it. All you need to do is leave a comment below this News Post letting us know you're interested. After you've done that, you'll be assigned a Team when the event starts. To ensure that each Team has a fair chance of winning, we'll be assigning people randomly -- however, we aim to ensure you don't get the same Team as the previous year. Be sure to sign up before June 9th, 23:59:59 IcePets Time!



When it comes to earning points, the Team Contest will largely remain the same. However, we do have a few changes, along with new additions! For those who are new (or simply don't remember how it works), here's a basic rundown: the four Teams are Blue Audril, Green Trido, Red Dovu, and Yellow Sharshel. Once the competition begins, Users can complete quests and restock Items to earn points for their respective Teams. At the end of the contest, the winning Team will receive some awesome prizes -- and even if you don't win, you'll have some points to spend at the Team Contest Store.


This year, restocking will include all Shops except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor. Users will receive points for restocking Items at the included Shops, but the number of points you'll earn will vary depending on the rarity of the Items you buy. Here's how many points each rarity category will reward:

Rarity 1 = 1 Point
Rarity 2 = 2 Points
Rarity 3 = 4 Points
Rarity 4 = 7 Points
Rarity 5 = 10 Points

In addition, Quests now award points based on the items being requested, rather than a set amount of points. And as usual, you can use Quest extenders to help your questing go a little smoother.





The biggest change to come with this year's Team Contest comes in the addition of a new set of Items - Chips! The Chips come in eight different varieties, the Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Team Chips.

Similar to Amourok, each Chip can be turned in to your Team Leader for a set amount of points:

Blue, Green, Red, Yellow Chips = 5 Points
Bronze Chip = 10 Points
Silver Chip = 15 Points
Gold Chip = 20 Points
Team Chip = 25 Points

Unlike Amourok, every Chip can be turned in to a Team's Leader regardless of its colour. So a player on Team Blue Audril will be able to turn in the Red Chip for 5 points, as an example.

The Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Bronze, Silver and Gold Chips will restock in all Shops (except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor) and can be obtained as rewards from Quests. The Team Chip is a bit different - if you have a Blue, Green, Red and Yellow Chip in your Inventory, your Team Leader will have the ability to combine them to create a Team Chip!
