IST The referral system is running on a new point system! Previously you would only get credit for a referral if that person actively played IcePets. We understand how discouraging that can be, so now you get 1 referral point for every pending referral (that is just a registered account) and 2 more referral points if that person actively plays! All the real life prizes were removed from the referral shop, in light of this new point system.

IST The parameters for confirming a referral have now broadened to allow for it to be easier for a new user to earn you referral points. Previously, the new user was required to get a certain amount of pageviews, create a pet and send a flash game score. It has now changed so that new users can do a percentage of onsite actions, such as post in boards, complete quests, add items to their collections, and many more different ways to prove their authenticity. I hope this will help to earn everyone more referrals  This system is now live, however if anyone experiences any problems with referrals, please get in touch ~Nate

IST  The backend programming to handle referrals is currently being upgraded, therefore any outstanding referrals you have which would normally get accepted will remain as pending until this upgrade is applied. Rest assured - any new referrals you earn while the system is down will still be recorded. ~Nate

IST I finally finished the gift giving to everyone who shared a happy moment they had on Christmas. Each and every person (more than 70) was given individual attention to be sure they got a gift of something they might want or need. Every day for the past few days I spent 2-3 hours on getting good gifts to you all.   These new items were funded by gravity172; they are the last Christmas themed items you will see released this year. You can find them stocking in Frozen Collectives Emporium. Remember to thank Lykaon for funding the item bundle that brought you many of the new years prizes, thanks to Nate for staying up all night programming these events for you, Lolly for planning the events, Vermillion for making the items, Lycan who wrote the story for the Trido release, and everyone else who contributed!

IST appear to be rewarding these strange pinatas..      Whacking these pinatas in your inventory will earn you 1 of 11 possible prizes! All of the pinatas have the same prizes as our new Pinata Mania game, but each Pinata has a different Trido Morphing Potion. You will have to figure out which quests award these.. I hear some are not even awarding them! If you're not wanting to wait.. You could always take the easy way out..

IST A mighty roar sound from the adopt-a-pet agency. It seems there is a new arrival, one that Icepets long ago remembered.  Tridos the name, and I am back for more! Please let me and my friends in. We are friendly dinosaurs. The trido now has a snazzy new revamp! The horns shined brilliantly and the employees at the agency were more than happy to accept the species once again. There are more than enough users that would want to hug and play with a pet, and we needs all types. After all, every user has their own preference. An array of tridos spilled through the heavy oak double doors. Their feet shook the ground as they shoved their way in, an abundance of glee filling the room. There were your basic colors: red, blue, yellow and green. There were also bluegreen, cotton candy, grey, ice, orange, white, pink and purple! There are two new additions as well..  Introducing the Black Trido! Annd.. The Skeletal Trido! Morphing Potions are now restocking in the Snow Jar Igloo!   But.. I have a feeling these will be more popular.. So what are you waiting for? Celebrate the New Year with a trido!

IST The way to get the Mistletoe Avatar has been changed!  You no longer need to send a message to Michael. You simply need to visit the News page on Christmas Day. Since that day has already passed, and this is just now being fixed, the Avatar will be available for the rest of tonight and all day tomorrow.

IST A few glitches were discovered tonight ((Or should I say today...)) that made it so the Black Friday sales have started again. I have limited programming skills, so the most I could do was disable all the pages the Black Friday sale affected. These pages will be put back up once a proper programmer gets online. If you find a glitch that I missed, and you exploit it, your account may be banned or issued a warning. We will find out if a glitch was abused.  Good night everyone, and have a happy holiday!

IST These advent calender prizes have been added to the Candy Quest! They will be in this quest year round as reward items.       Remember to use the Gift Giving feature to send presents to your friends Christmas Trees! All you have to do is go to your inventory, select an item, and send to friend with a message; it goes right under their tree to open on Christmas!

IST Christmas Snow Jar is a seasonal item that at the end of December will become unavailable until 11 months later. You can buy it in the ICE Shop, find it in the Snow Jar Igloo (if you are very lucky), or get one from the Advent Calender on December 25th Christmas Day. Keep in mind that using multiple accounts to get extra prizes is against the rules and will result in all of your accounts banned. Come online Christmas Day!

Part of the reason you have seen us bulking up the Referral Shop, is because a Referral Contest is planned to launch at the start of the new year. IST  Red Snow Jar Stamp has been appearing as needed in your Stamps Collection for a while now without being released, so now it has been made available for you in the Space Quest! EDIT
I didnt know this stamp was only released in a competition (I can't keep track of everything, sorry), so to compromise for my mistake I am moving the stamp out of the quest and into the Golden Touch. Congrats to those who won this stamp in the Space Quest, this will be a nice score for you.

IST The Token Dabu decided to bring over to IcePets his brothers and sisters; Dabu is now a creatable species! Morphing potions will come later. Dabu is available in 13 colors; Cottoncandy, Blue, Bluegreen, Red, Yellow, Green, Snowdrift, Ice, Grey, Orange, Pink, Purple, White.

Trades is back and largely reprogrammed for speed and function! All the trades and offers that were active when the old trading system was taken down have been imported. Big big thanks to Nate for completing this! A lot of effort went in to making this happen for you all. 
Forums are much faster now! The lag we had in the boards was mostly from the topic unread feature.

XD Users were online (-3473 seconds ago)...Shops weren't stocking for hours at a time...Advent Calendars were handing out Blitzen Reindeer Plushies like there was no tomorrow... IST is now rewarding some new items. You can only get these books by completing his quests or by purchasing from your friends who brought weapons to the War Trido.    Each of these books have full stories written out, so be sure to take the time to enjoy them. When you read a book to your pet, the story is forever added to your Library.
