Hello everyone!

We'd like to get your opinion on the Easter Quest.

As we move into the layout update alpha, we want to take every feature into consideration, and make each one the best version of itself that it can be. However, the Easter Quest is one feature that is in limbo at this time. So we want to see how you, the community, feel about it.

Our primary concern is the following questions: Do you like the Easter Quest in its current iteration? Would you like for us to keep it?

Should we keep the Easter Quest, it will continue to be available in an approximately similar manner to how it is now, but we may still choose to improve it in the future based on the site's needs and your suggestions.

The alternative to keeping the Easter Quest is for it to be removed. We would, however, intend to implement a new feature that serves the same function, but maybe in a different way. However, this would not be immediately implemented.

Please let us know how you feel about these options!

The Easter Quests are fine but they could use some improvements in my opinion.

I understand that they are not designed like other quests but I dislike the idea of having to pay to initiate the quests in the first place. I think it would be better if this was removed but keep the quitting quests the same.

I don't know how the system itself works but I find that the quest usually asks for the older items more frequently. While this could be a good thing for getting rid of these items, I feel like this makes it harder for newer users to complete them if they wanted to. I have a hoard of 90% of these so being asked for them doesn't really affect me but its a bigger challenge if you've never done them before.

Once upon a time and not too long ago, the Easter Quest had a feature that rewarded users for doing them. At the end of the day, those who had completed the most quests got bonus points. I would love to see this reappear if the feature is kept.

One last thing that I'd like to see is a less random reward system. So, right now, it seems completely random as to how many points you receive regardless of how many IP you spend. IF...the IP requirement to start these quests remains, I would like to see a set amount being given. So, if I spend 1k, I get 1, if I spend 2k, I get 2, etc. I would propose the same type of thing for how many items are asked for. Also, if the numbers are right, maybe include items from the Heart Attack feature as possible asks.

Now, to address the possibility of a new feature. I like the Easter Quests because it gives you credits for the Easter Store. As long as the new feature still incorporated this, I would be onboard for an overhaul much like the BRB was.

Considering I'm new and haven't been around here long enough to know how much of the site works. I tried an Easter Quest just so I could give feedback, and I don't particularly understand why I need to pay 1,000 IP for the starting quest, that increased to 2,000 IP for the 2nd quest, and I couldn't complete it because one of the items it wanted was 125,000 IP lol and I'd have to spend 5,000 IP to quit that quest which I didn't do, I just left the page. I think it needs to be re-worked, I don't think it should cost IP to do a quest other than buying the items it asks for.

I agree with @CaityJuju . I don't like having to pay to do the quest or back out of it. I currently need an item that is over 100k IP in the shop searcher.

I've only done Easter quests on other sites, so I'm not used to it this way. On one site it has random egg spawns that you have to click before the disappear to collect items for the quest. I don't know if that would be possible on here. But since Easter contains a lot of hiding and finding of things, that would be a little more fitting.

Please ping me if you are talking to be in the forums.

I wanted to add this separately from my other response to ensure it's seen, rather than editing my post.

It may be a cool idea if you reworked the quests to give out Easter eggs as part of a new collection. It would make them rare and give people an incentive to make sure they do the quests if they want the eggs for their collection. Or you can just do an egg hunt, where you have to find a specific egg for the quest somewhere on the site either through a riddle or freely roaming around like Rainhex said. smile_happy.gif

@CaityJuju @Rainhex35 Every year there is a egg hunt around easter where you find a lot of eggs (even buy them from NPC shop at some point if i remember right) And those eggs give the items asked from the easter quest.

So i don't think it will be good to get those egg all year around. They are from an event, if we get them all year (even if its rare) the yearly event is useless

----------

My tough of the easter quest are simillar to RiverStarr.

I really like to get easter credit store from them, but i just don't do them for 2 reasons.

1- i don't think the paying to do the quest is needed.. for quiting yes, and the amount are good, since they are special quest. But paying 5k , use 4-5 items and only get 1 point is boring...

2- I hate to get the items out one by one from my storage box...that just take so much time...quest ask for 5 items, go see in storage if i have them, yes, take them all out one by one, finish the quest, and start again

I think i would be a nice add to Gold account to instant fill the quest if they have items in their storage

since i've got the avy i didnt do any more easter quest because of that.

Other way i will only use it after easter to get a small amount of point if i dont have enough for the items i want from the store..and only because i have all the easter items already in my inventory and not stored in my storage box.

Since the reward for the most quest done in 1 day is not longer there, i dont see why the little leaderboard is always here. i'm not really interested in seeing who have done quest today since i no longer have the need to get first place to get the reward.

Yeah I meant Easter-only, not all year round. smile_grin.gif

I like to do the Easter Quest so I can get things from the Easter Store that I don't have, but I agree with everyone here who said they don't like paying for the quest before you even get into the quest to find out what they want.

I only do the quest when I have the ip to spend on it. There are still some items I don't have since I have not been able to get enough points for them. It would help not having the cost up front.

Thanks for this survey.

The reward system for the easter quest is ridiculous. As someone else mentioned- paying 5000ip, having to give 5 items then getting ONE credit?! Absolutely ridiculous.

If you are going to keep the pay to do the quest system, I suggest having three levels that people can choose from: easy, medium and hard. That said, the price could be dropped too.

Could work something like this:
Easy (least expensive)- asks for 1-2 items, rewards 1-3 credits
Medium (middle expense)- asks for 2-3 items, rewards 2-5 credits
Hard (most expensive)- asks for 3-5 items, rewards 4-8 credits

It's so hard to get easter credits, and the items in the store require soooooo many credits that this would give people the chance to actually collect those items.

I want to make an addition to brokenribbons suggestion. Also try to revalue the asked items. Things like gourmetfood should be in the Hard category, for example.

I don't think it would be a bad thing if you have the chance to get Easter Points AND prizes, like in the other quests. The prizes would be eggs, or just a random thing the Easter Quest also asks for. This way it won't hurt the economy and makes the game more playable and exciting, because you'd also do quests if you don't want anything from the easter store, but also to get other easter items you may missed.

I do agree with everyone on the rewards for finishing Easter quests, and I also think the Easter quest should also be available for Easter only instead of open throughout the year. (Since it is different than other quests, and is for a specific holiday.)

And if it were to only be in Easter, we could possibly turn it around to where an Easter Jakrit NPC would be in charge. (Would be an adorable pet color tbh, though there are Season plushies, and possibly Season Pet Colors to come soon. So wouldn't the NPC for the Prizes/Quest be Spring instead of Easter?)

Since it is already a special quest from the others, we could try to reach a set goal in quests for a limited amount of time in April, and we'd have to collect certain items to get past each "Tier" per day. (Like other quests, a mix of rare/easy to get items: Cakes, cookies, Ice Creams, Plushies, etc. that aren't really "Easter" items, but can be substituted as such. Like the Chocolate Bar, or CottonCandy plushies for example. (Even the Spring Novyn Plushie.) Or maybe a setting to the Easy/Hard difficulty BrokenRibbon mentioned, with amount points to earn.

Each player could have a certain amount of quests per day to reach the next tier, and if the tier is not met, it is reset within the next day. Each day the tier could grow by 5, and the max could be 50 (or 100) to reach the goal, and the player could receive a "grand prize" designed specifically for the event at the end for the efforts of finishing the quest tiers. (Depending on how long the event would go on. If it were all month for April, the Tiers would be much longer.)

If keeping the same point earning system, this is where earning just 1 point per quest can be added up, and the points earned could be added up to spend at the Easter store ( along with the Empty Jakrit Eggs of course).

Don't know if this sounds alright or not, but just thought I'd share what was on my mind as well! ^^
