I just read both books. I especially enjoyed Book of Gems - I was surprised to find out that my birth stone is in fact not the moonstone but the ruby smile_shock.gif I've always been certain that it was the moonstone. Maybe it varies in different parts of the world.

Congrats, Chris and Tittlemouse~

Also, I've yet to see an edit button anywhere, Tittlemouse.
Although I think it's something that would be incredibly useful, so if you don't mind please telling me where to look for it, I'd be forever grateful. xD

Enits, I used wikipedia as a reference for the birthstones, and the category of "Modern Birthstones", since I figured that people would prefer a more updated version (or one more logical) since not everyone believes in gems having 'powers', etc.

But if you're born in July, it says that under all categories it's a ruby or possibly an onyx.

This is very peculiar. I just did a search in my native language and it confirms what you say. All these years I've been thinking that my stone was the moonstone. I think I know why I've been so sure. One year at my birthday, someone gave me a card with a moonstone attached, stating that this is my birthstone. I guess it's the card maker's fault smile_laugh.gif
Good thing Icepets (and you) is here to teach me some things smile_cool.gif
